What Is Beauty?

What Is Beauty?

Just Keeping It Real.

A Video Message.

Hi! I wanted to talk about beauty. In my social media posts and videos on @tarasfrogblog, I am kinda big on being authentic, glowing, seeing our light within and “being our own kind of beautiful, by being true, being you.”

This is a confession post.

I am totally evolving towards this way of “being.” I am pretty sure my followers know this about me, because I am very transparent with the healing journey.

I most definitely had/may still have layers of untrue beliefs that “blur” my vision from “seeing” my own beauty.

In this post, I am sharing through example how I personally remove/clear these untrue beliefs about beauty.

Everyone is different with their healing approach. My intention, focus, writing, visualization/art, breath and dance are powerful healing tools for me.

My Own “Beauty-full” Story

This “Beauty-full” Healing Story is written with the intention to teach and inspire others, to clearly “see” their own beauty within.

“Beauty-full” Triggers

Let’s just get right to it, shall we? Let’s get down and dirty with the “beauty- fullness” of triggers.

Oh man, SO MANY of my triggers have been coming to the surface lately. Like Yikes! The more I am being authentic and true, putting myself “out there,” more of my shadows are coming forward (with intensity and speed! 😬)

And this is such a gift. (This is what I remind myself.) I truly do see shadows and triggers as a gift. Even though I will feel uncomfortable as heck and shitty and tired and maybe a little whiny/cranky 😉, I “KNOW” that what I am experiencing and feeling are my doorways for deeper healing and growth.

Anyway, back to my trigger story.

I was feeling triggered recently. Feeling “less than” and “imperfect.” Feeling “not enough” in my skin/body.

I was being guided to heal this.  Below are the tools I used to “clearly see”, shift, and heal.

“Beauty-full” Writing and Reflection

Writing is my go-to tool to connect to my guides and spirit. When I write, I fully allow a flow/stream of thoughts and intuition to come out of my pen.

I call this writing process, “From Ego to Spirit.”

It is very important for me to “get out of my head.” And to do this, I needed to barf out all my yucky gross thoughts cycling in my head. I spit it out so the dark uglies can see the light and be flushed away.

Below is my personal journaling entry. My writings are always quite raw, unjudged, and unedited because my “thinking brain” needs to be removed from the healing equation. I hope you can follow along.

As you will see, when I move from my ego to my spirit, the clarity, wisdom and healing begins to take form.

I always begin my writing with clear intention, focus and a good deep cleansing breath.

—–

Intention and Focus

I wish to receive more clarity from my Spiritual Team and Self regarding why I am so triggered with feeling “not enough.”

Breath

I take a few deep breaths in and out. Then I start with the pen.

Journal Entry Conversation

Tara, what do you see as “not enough” and  “less beautiful?”

  • I am fat.
  • I am ugly.
  • I am old looking.
  • I have wrinkles.
  • My boobs sag. (pfft, yeah, I said it)
  • I have stretch marks.
  • My stomach is fat.
  • I have cellulite and stretch marks.
  • My arms are flabby.
  • I am imperfect.
  • I failed.
  • I am not a woman.
  • I am not enough.

My self-talk was quite harsh, wasn’t it? Yikes! I soon realized I had to review my definition of “What Is Beauty?”

Tara, What is beauty? Define it.

I don’t know?
What others have told me?
What society tells me?
I don’t know????

Then I just started having diarrhea from the pen. This is my journal conversation where my higher self begins to step in with the pen and we have a talk.

Beauty has been defined by outside. It is most definitely an energetic grid of beliefs that I can be plugged into. If I am not x, then I am not beautiful.

My definition of beauty, that I have taken on, is from what I “hear” and “see” from the outside. This has me feeling that I am “not enough” in my feminine essence and beauty. The rules I have created is an unrealistic and untrue definition of beauty.

Beauty starts and ends with me, within.

Beauty is deep.

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and the eye is actually MY eye.

No one else’s. Mine!

So..... all the untrue layers need to go!!

How can I do this? How can I believe this when all I hear and know beauty is ...
*** A certain weight
*** A certain look
*** A certain "perfection"
*** A certain way

Tara, listen closely to what we say……

Acknowledging all the “less than beautiful” self-talk and chatter will assist in healing.

.

“Clearly see” that your untrue definition and beliefs about beauty are creating unrealistic and painful expectations in your head.

.

When your untrue definition of beauty is not met, your negative self-talk gets super loud. Abusive. You beat yourself down. You have harsh judgments of self and even others. The ”not enough” wound/belief is further deepened,

.

This is YOU suppressing your divine feminine qualities.

.

Your body is your vessel while on this earth. Love her. Deeply. Love her the way you love others deeply.

.

Now, talk to your soul. Look deep into your eyes. This is the window to your soul.

.

Ask yourself now…..

.

What is beauty?

My Response:

Beauty is….

Love

Divine

Light

Intuition

Strength

Courage

Sunshine

Soft

Gentle

Sunshine

Warmth

Nurturing

Compassion

Do you see this in you?

“Yeah……But”……I have loud but’s coming forward. All my “less than” thoughts are negating the divine definition of beauty.

Good observation. It is now time to clear your “yeah but’s.”

With intention, focus and 💯 heart, affirm your true beauty. Say it, feel it, see it, know it, be it.

I am Love!

I am Divine!

I am Light!

I am Intuitive!

I am Strength!

I am Courage!

I am Sunshine!

I am Nurturing!

I am Gentle!

I am Sensual!

I embody the Divine Feminine within.

💖I Am Divine Feminine Beauty.💖

And……. now I am blank.

Journal Ended.

“Beauty-full” Art and Visualization

My journaling session was so insightful, empowering and healing for me.

Now, it was time to step up the healing. I do this through art and visualization.

Drawing for me really adds more energy to my healing practice. It is affirming what I “see” in my mind’s eye. I love to hang up my empowering pictures too! Instantly reminding me of my power.

Below is my healing art:

As I look in the “apple” of my eye, connecting to my heart and soul, I feel, hear and see all that “I am.”
I also heard very loudly……
Yeah BUT……… “I am x.”
I stood tall in my power by redefining what is beauty.
I released the bullshit “and but’s”.
I fully affirmed through my senses all my love, light, and divine feminine beauty!

“Beauty-full” Breath

Never underestimate the power of a pause and a breath.

It is really important for me when I do healing work to take the time to pause and breathe. This is fully integrating the healing into my “being.”

So, I took a few deep, centering, healing breaths in and out, into my whole body, mind and spirit, grounding my new definition and visualization of beauty and all that “I am.”

“Beauty-full” Dance

Moving and dancing for me is like the cherry on top of my sundae. I mean, who doesn’t love cherries!?!?! 🍒

I feel so happy when I dance with intention and visualization. Moving my body too allows for the healing energy to fully flow through ALL of me. I fully release the energy that is no longer serving and I bring in my divine light. And this is all done through shaking my booty!

Sometimes I dance and move with music. Sometimes I just move where my spirit takes me. In this healing session, my spirit was playing a fun song, “This Is How We Do It.” by Montell Jordan.

So, I carried on with my cheesy, fun dance moves, feeling “kinda buzzed and it was all because” I was happy and joyful, being full of my divine feminine beauty!

And that’s a wrap! “ This is how I do it.” This is how I heal. I hope my personal share inspires you to see all your beauty within!

At the end of the day, this healing work all comes down to self-love. Love. Love. Love!!!

Go love yourself! You are divine and beauty-full!

☀️ Feel It * Know It * Say It * See It * Believe It * Be It ☀️

💖,

Tara

Are You Guilty Of Shit Sharing?

Are You Guilty Of Shit Sharing?

❤️ A Little 💩 Message ❤️

Got Shit? Own it!

Hi There! Thanks for being here! As you know, I am very passionate about emotional intelligence and healing. I truly believe we all have some healing work to do. My goal here on A Frog Blog is to EMPOWER YOU to learn healthy emotional processing and healing tools and put them to good use! On You!

Are you aware that Shit Sharing is a BIG problem here in the United States? Perhaps all over the world! Yup Yup…. Like BIG! I feel it is very important to explain more about this “emotional pain sharing, wound poking epidemic” we have going on in our country.

But before I begin, my “spidey senses” are tingling. Ok, I have to ask you this…. are these your thoughts?

“Tara, I don’t need to heal any “emotional” stuff. I don’t really have anything to heal. Nope! My life is good. I mean, it is certainly not terrible. Nothing is THAT MAJOR that I need to seek out help or learn and practice healing tools. When I feel emotionally upset, it usually just passes. Yeah, time usually heals all my wounds.”

Yes? You are thinking this? OMG, I knew it! I can totally relate too. That was me. I had so many limiting beliefs that were holding me back from TRULY loving my life, loving my Self, and loving others.

“Lucky for me,” I did have something MAJOR happen. I HAD to seek out help to help me heal my unaddressed and unprocessed pains. “Lucky for me,” I learned so many emotional healing tools to use when something comes up. “Lucky for me,” I am able to truly love my Self, my life, and others!

Aren’t I so “lucky?” No, I am very grateful, however. I am grateful for it all. No luck in this. This was “the work” of the Universe and this was/is ME showing up to do “the work” and owning my shit. 🙂

Guilty of Shit Sharing? Stop it!

“Hello, my name is Tara, and I am a recovering Shit Sharer.”

So, let’s talk about shit sharing and why I feel it is so important to heal our wounds. For me to do this effectively, I will also share part of my shit story.

While on my healing journey, I learned something very shocking about myself. I was a Shit Sharer. I unintentionally shared or projected my unhealed, unprocessed emotions, wounds, and “not enough” beliefs onto others – onto my family and friends. This really upset me when I became aware of this.

Some of my shit shares were:

  • Overstepping boundaries
  • Butting in too much
  • Being too enabling
  • Being emotionally absent
  • Being controlling
  • Requiring too much attention
  • Projecting guilt, blame, and shame
  • Judging, judging, judging (that is my maiden name, too!)
  • Being rude with my words
  • Making fun of someone in a mean way
  • Acting “better-than” someone
  • Making someone feel “less-than”
  • Acting pitiful or helpless – “poor me”
  • Dismissing other’s feelings
  • Taking out frustrations and stress onto others
  • Projecting fears or worry onto others
  • Expecting perfection from others

Didn’t I sound like a peach? Hahaha. I wasn’t ALL that at once. But, being aware that my shit can hurt others, sharing once was enough to push me to change.

I could have taken on more blame, shame, and guilt when I discovered that my unconscious behaviors affected others (even if they weren’t aware). However, I didn’t go down that “all too familiar” path. I chose a new path. An empowering, badass warrior path. I was fueled and determined to learn more emotional healing tools and I chose to dive deeper into my healing work. I did NOT want to be a shit sharer anymore.

There IS No Blame.

There IS No Shame.

Ignite YOUR Flame.

And Heal YOUR SHIT!!!

Now that I am aware and “awake” to what Shit Sharing is, I see this happening all the time. WE ALL DO THIS because we ALL have unprocessed emotions and unaddressed pains. THIS is why I feel so strongly about the importance of healing ourselves and learning the tools.

Listen, I know we would NEVER EVER want to hurt others, especially our loved ones. Yet, we do. We ALL have done it. We WILL continue to hurt others if we don’t heal ourselves.

Most of the time, us hurting others is very unintentional and it is very subtle for the person on the receiving end of it. BUT, they do absorb our unaddressed, unprocessed pains. They may create an untrue or unloving story about themselves. Sometimes they are able to shake off our shares with ease and grace. Other times, the shit sharing can penetrate deep within their being, especially if it is consistently happening.

What if we all decided to learn and practice emotional healing tools to recognize and release our own emotional pains?

What if we all decided to learn and practice emotional healing tools to recognize and release other’s projected pains shared with us?

What if we all decided to learn and practice emotional healing tools to have a better awareness, compassion, love, and empathy for ourselves and others.

If we all did this, we would not have this “shit sharing, shit show epidemic” going on right now.

If we did this, there would be more love in this world.

Will You Commit To Healing Your Shit?

So….. I humbly ask…… will you do “the work?” Will you learn the emotional healing tools, and commit to practicing and healing your shit, your unaddressed emotions or unhealed pains?

(ah snap…..I feel a poem coming on… :))

 For the sake of self-love,
For the sake of the greater good,
 Will you be more aware
 That your words really hurt?

 Let’s be more accountable
For our actions and our voices.
 Take ownership that our wounds
 Can result in painful choices.

 Our choices can hurt others.
 Our choices hurt ourselves.
 Stop this Shit Sharing madness!!!!
Start to heal and love your Self!

Thank you for being here! By you reading this, you are showing up for healing and making a difference in this world. Even if you don’t know what to do next, it is ok. I feel the same way sometimes. (OMG, I am going to barf up another poem….here we go…..)

 Keep learning.
 Be self-aware.
 Be exploring.

 There is NOTHING in life,
 That we can’t overcome
 FULLY Rely On GOD,
 THAT’S how it's done.

Wow!  Ok then, those are our next steps!!! Sometimes I wonder if I channel Dr. Seuss. Hahah.

We GOT THIS!

Progress, not perfection.

We ARE doing the best we can WHEN we show up to learn, heal and grow!

Big Hugs,

Tara

Hey Ego – What’s My Worth?

Hey Ego – What’s My Worth?

❤️ A Little Video Message ❤️

Is Your Ego Defining Your Self-Worth?

Question:

Are you valuing your self-worth by these measures or by goals you set for yourself?

  • Your Job/Career/Business
  • Your Friends/Relationships
  • Your Grades
  • The School You Attend(ed)
  • Pleasing Others
  • Praise & Validation
  • Your Paycheck
  • Your Kids
  • Your Address/Home
  • Your Car
  • Your Body Weight/Muscles
  • Your Clothes and Appearance

If you are…..how’s that going for you?

Be honest. Are you happy?  Have you been happy?  Do you feel good? Do you truly love yourself?

There is nothing wrong with having goals, and/or having/doing these things in your life.  BUT…. if your goals, things and others are defining your identity of who you truly are, and filling up your self-worth & self-love cup, you are setting yourself up for deep emptiness in life.

Basically, you are giving your power away. Your self-worth and self-love are tied to someone, something and/or a desired outcome, like a yo-yo, when in fact, it needs to be 100% tied to you….within.

I see self-worth as a deep, unconditional and healthy love that I have for myself. And that comes from within me. DEEP WITHIN

From my past experience, my self-worth was EXACTLY what I described in the beginning – dictated by others, things and achieved goals. My self-worth & self-love was a yo-yo (confession: still is at times :)). Some days I was high on life, high on worth, high on love. Other times, I was low, low, DEPRESSINGLY low. That was so exhausting to live life like this.

What I have learned over the years is that my identity, my worth, my love for myself was being controlled by my ego’s definition of self-worth. I had to go real deep to have this awakening moment.

I would like to share with you my personal take on why our ego is defining our identity and worth and some ways to shift towards a healthy self-worth and self-love way of being. I will try to keep it simple and not that deep. 🙂

Why is Ego Setting The Standards For Our Self-Worth?

This is my perspective with how I see this little thing we call “life.”

Before we are born, we, our spirits, have a list of life lessons we are tasked to learn in “Earth School.” One big lesson is self-love.

Then we are born!!! BOOM.  Awah, awah, (my baby cry sound)

We have amnesia. We forget what our life lessons are.   We just go on, and experience this gift of life, often forgetting our beautiful authentic light within, because of our experiences.

Most of us are unequipped with healthy tools to use when we experience something that hurts our feelings/our hearts/our mind/our spirit.

Most of us are hurting others because WE TOO are hurting inside.  We are wound poking each other.  We are passing to others OUR OWN pains, unknowingly and unintentionally. This can be quite a “shit show” of “shit sharing,” right?

(Continue reading…. My story seems hopeless but I promise you it’s not! It will empower you to take action & it will come full circle to your worth.)

When we have unpleasant life experiences, when we are the recipient of wound poking and/or shit sharing, or when we inflict pain onto others, we lose part of our Selves.  Our self-love and our self-worth.

We begin to create stories and beliefs that we are “not enough” because we DO NOT KNOW how to process the emotions from the experience(s).  We DO NOT KNOW how to release the emotions.  We DO NOT KNOW how to shift our untrue stories.  We DO NOT KNOW how to HEALWe are unable to see our true, authentic light and divine love and truth within.

This is when our ego likes to step in.

Why?  Because our ego is just trying to protect us and make us feel better in a weird and unhealthy way.

Our ego wants us to avoid and suppress our feelings and pains for the fear of feeling pain again.

Because we have lost part of self-love and worth from an experience, this is when we begin to identify with ego’s definition of self-worth – which has that very goal oriented, outside of ourselves aspect to it.

We begin comparing ourselves and our lives to others.  This can feel good and can be very serving to our ego’s worth when our self-worth goals are all met.  But it can also create additional suffering and lack when we cannot meet the ego’ s self-worth requirements.

Comparing will always lead to suffering.

Our ego, by bringing in the comparing, begins to run the show with how to feel about ourselves. Our self-worth becomes a yo-yo.  Up/down, Up/down….

“I have self-love and worth today,  yay!!”

“I don’t have self-love and worth today, boo.”

Does my perspective with “why our ego is defining our worth” resonate with you?

I truly believe life does NOT have to be a “Yo-Yo of A SHIT SHOW’ when it comes to our self-worth.  LIFE can be and is a GREAT SHOW…….no matter what experience(s) comes our way.

How To Move From Ego To Healthy Self-Worth/Self-Love?

This part is my empowering and inspirational talk. Keep reading on ways to shift. Again, this is my perspective and this works for me!

Awareness is Key

We can 100% shift the yo-yo ego way of defining ourselves if we become aware and awaken to some things.

Aware how? Read this slow and let it absorb.

Aware “KNOWING” that…..

  • We ARE ALL ENOUGH. We are worthy. We are light. We are love.
  • We are a spirit, born into this body and mind, in this life, with lessons to learn. The Big Lesson: Self-Love
  • Life, people, experiences, are here to help us see and learn our lessons.
  • We ALL have an ego self/mind.
  • We ALL have free-will with our choices.
  • We ALL have power to choose who will run our Life’s Show: our light (spirit) or our ego.
  • We ALL have the power to pick up the pieces of ourselves that we lost along the way.
  • We are the ONLY ones who can heal, grow and learn these lessons of Self-Love.
  • It is OUR responsibility to do the healing & shadow work.
  • We do not always “know” we have healthy tools to use.
  • It is OUR responsibility to seek healthy tools out and use them.
  • It is OUR responsibility to do “the work.” There are no short-cuts.
  • WE ARE ALL BORN WITH SUPERPOWERS WITHIN, to CREATE THE REALITY IN LIFE WE WANT.

When we are truly aware of this, this is where our free-will and choice comes into play.

Our Choices Matter

We need to make the choices to do “The Work.”  It is that simple.  Choose and do things that will assist in healing. It is called shadow work: leaning into the shadows and reclaiming our light and love.

Just do it.  Just Start.  Just do something today.

Take Action By Seeking Tools

If we have no clue how or where to even begin, go seek assistance and then commit to it.  It is not a “one and done” type of thing. This “self-love lesson” is a life-long commitment.

We all have a tendency to poke each other’s wounds.  And that is really not always a bad thing. See it as a reminder that we have more work to do in the self-love area. See it as a gentle push to do the shadow work and begin to heal the wounds. These wounds are often stemming from our younger days when we didn’t have healthy tools to use.

The tools are right in front of us.  Tools like:

  • Psychologists, Counselors, Therapists, Life Coaches
  • Self Help Books & Courses
  • Supportive Communities & Groups
  • Social Media “Mind – Body – Soul” Mentors
  • Spiritual Teachers, Healers, Mentors & Courses
  • Faith – God, Source, Angels, Guides

There are so many tools just waiting to be checked out.  So…..what is stopping us?

Be Aware of Roadblocks

What stops all of us from taking action and continuing to do the work are our Fears, Limiting Beliefs and Ego. We get in our own way. It is NOT the fault of others. It is NOT the situation or “the cards we were dealt with.” There are no excuses for not taking action and seeking the tools to start the self-love healing journey.

Roadblock Thought Examples:

  • I don’t really have a problem here that I can’t handle on my own.  I am good.
  • I do NOT want to feel pain or relive what I experienced. I’m scared.
  • Asking for and seeking out help is for the weak.  I GOT THIS.
  • Going this route will not help me, nothing ever does.
  • “This too shall pass”.  It is not that bad. Things will turn around soon when…..
  • What do you mean???  I AM GREAT!!!!!! MY LIFE IS PERFECT! Pfff, I love myself.

When these thoughts or similar ones pop in, just be aware that they are our fears, limiting beliefs and ego talking to us.  And to be honest, they may appear really big and loud. But when we lean into them with the healthy tools and support, they have NOTHING on us! WE CAN DO THIS!

Just Do It. Press Start. Go!

We are ALL being called now to awaken to our truth. To the Light within. To Love.

We are ALL being called to connect to Source, our guides, angels, our spirit, our light.

If you are feeling unhappy, unsettled, unaligned, lost, confused, crazy, tired, etc….. sometimes like a yo-yo with the high and lows, well, you know what you need to do.

Just do it!

Call back your power, Call back your light, Call back YOU….all your LOVE and LIGHT that you left when you didn’t know how to process life.

What’s Our “Why?”

It is important to identify why we choose to do this healing work. This work isn’t always easy. This work can be uncomfortable too. That is why we have to motivate ourselves and remind ourselves of our “why’s.”

Some “Why” Examples:

  • Do we really want to be in this “Yo-Yo Shit Show” state of self-worth and self-love?
  • Do we really want to share our stinky unprocessed unhealed shit with the ones we love the most?
  • Do we really want to poke at other people’s wounds?
  • Do we really want to pass to our children (future children) these generational pains, untrue stories and perhaps our limiting beliefs of self-love and self-worth?
  • Do we really want to repeat all these life lessons of self-love in our next go at “Earth School?” In our next life?

I am speaking for myself, and the answer is a big fat no. These were all my “why’s” when I chose to embark on my healing journey years ago. I remind myself of my “why’s” when I encounter roadblocks and some really rough experiences too. “Why’s” are so important.

What Am I Saying?

We don’t know when our time is up. We don’t know when our graduation from “Earth School” will be. Will we pass the self-love lesson? Our participation grade DOES matter. Are we putting effort into this?

I speak about this BIG “self-love lesson.” But I am saving the best lesson to share for last. We are here in “Earth School” to experience ALL THE AMAZING JOYS AND GIFTS LIFE HAS TO OFFER US. Let’s make sure we pass THIS lesson too! It is too good to let LIFE slip through the cracks.

The time is NOW to SHOW UP in YOUR life.

Be Love, See Love, Experience Love.

Love Your Self.

See and Know Your AMAZING Worth!

4 Steps To Shapeshift Your Mind For Healing

4 Steps To Shapeshift Your Mind For Healing

Hi there!  Thank you for being here!

As you know, my passion is healing and co-creating the life that I wish for. In my last post, titled, Dream Message – Be A Shapeshifter to Heal, I shared an intuitive message from my guides. We are all being called to be shapeshifters with our minds to heal our hearts. If you would like the detailed dream message, I encourage you to check out the post!

In this post, I will share with you the steps that I practice to shapeshift my mind and to heal my heart. Let’s jump right into the steps!

Step 1 – Create The Foundation

What does Shapeshifting our mind for healing self really mean?

It means that we 100% MUST believe that healing self and shifting our mindset is absolutely possible.  There is NO room for skepticism AND there is NO “ifs, ands, or buts”!

We all have the power with our choices, awareness, and commitment to create this reality no matter what the circumstances are – past, present, and future.

The key to this shapeshifting practice is that you NEED to believe, trust, and have faith that this reality IS possible.

So my question to you right now is……

Do you believe you can shift your mind, heal your heart, and co-create the life you desire?

If you do, give your affirmation a “HELL YEAH!” like you mean it!

That was really weak, just saying….

SAY IT LIKE IT ALREADY HAPPENED.

Say it and feel it like this kid! Come on! Put some energy and momentum towards this foundation!

NICE!  Much better!  Your foundation is solid!  Now we can move onto the next step: Intention Setting!

Step 2: Set Intentions

What do you want in life? Identify what you want for your future self.

Some examples of my intentions/dreams have been:

  • To live my life in color again!
  • To feel joy in my life, no matter what is happening around me.
  • To feel free to speak my truth.
  • To feel free to be me.
  • To experience an abundant life full of peace, love, joy.

After you have put some time into identifying your wishes, now it’s time to put some energy into it! And make it come to life!  You have to FEEL into these intentions like they already happened!  The energy you put into this step is key.

In this step, I get very specific with my intentions because the universe is listening! I visualize it, feel it, and draw it like it already happened! Sometimes I even do a happy dance like Carlton!

The key in this step is to go to your future self and time and experience the energy! Have faith in the universe and your spiritual posse’ that your wishes have been granted!

Step 3: Practice Awareness

After you set your intentions, and you released it into the universe, come back to the present time. Let go of any thoughts wanting to control your future intention’s outcome. This ego tendency is very counterproductive. It is time to flow and start the work in the “now” moment. And this starts with your awareness.

It is important to practice awareness if you want to shapeshift your mind to create the life you want.  Do you know who needs to be your best friend for this step?

Triggers!

Emotional triggers are painful but important in this awareness step.  They really do a great job at poking at our wounds that need some love and attention.

Have you ever had a low or negative emotion/reaction to something that was way over the top elevated? Perhaps anxiety, sadness, or anger follows? That is a red flag for your awareness!

Below are some random examples of red flags and triggers:

  • Someone does not respond to your texts or calls and you cannot let it go. You go down a rabbit hole of the possible reasons why and most are pertaining to your self worth. Trigger
  • Someone “accidentally” cuts you off driving or won’t let you in a lane. Your reaction is RAGE and ANGER that lasts too long. Trigger.
  • You cannot figure out the directions to something and you FREAK out. Trigger.
  • You are uncharacteristically running late and the stress that follows is unnecessarily over the top. Trigger.

The Law of Reflection is a really helpful concept to bring into this awareness step. Have you ever heard of this? Basically, the gist to this Universal/Spiritual Law is that life is a mirror and this mirror will literally reflect back to us a version of our self. I saw this meme on Facebook and I really understood it! hahah

I will give you an example of how I applied this concept to my everyday life.

A newsperson on TV would really push my buttons. His mere presence, on TV, made me SO annoyed. I thought he was a “phony bologna” and I did not like it at all! (I was being so judgy and it was a red flag for me, too.)

This is where I brought in my awareness. There was no doubt this elevated reaction was some type of trigger and I knew the Law of Reflection was coming into play here.

I paused, and asked my self, what is the Universe highlighting for me here?

After some journaling, I was able to get to the root. The mirror was showing me the times in my life where I subconsciously felt that I was a “phony bologna” and I wasn’t being my true self. I was being something that I “thought” I needed to be in order to be loved and accepted.

This mirror allowed me to lean into this part of me to begin the healing work.  Love, Compassion, Forgiveness was brought into the Shapeshifting mix, and guess what?  I now see the newsperson with a loving, compassionate lens.  No more judgments!  Only love! Yay! Happy Dance for me!

This example was a little long-winded but I felt it was needed because this Law helps so much in shapeshifting.

So remember, practice awareness! Keep your eyes wide open to subtle or big reactions/emotions to situations and remember to take a look in the Universal mirror of reflection. When you do this, you are now ready for the big doozy step. The Work!

Step 4: Do The Work – Just Go There

If you REALLY want what you wished for, you HAVE to feel into the uncomfortableness of the emotional trigger.  You must look in the mirror and self reflect. I have learned that most of the time, my triggers have nothing to do with the other person.  It is always about me and my unaddressed or unhealed wounds

When you do this step, two key players will always come into the mix and it is important to know more about their “special-ness”.

So, allow me to introduce you to them in a cheesy way and please enjoy this visual I see in my head.

(An Announcer Voice)

Introducing The Ego-Mind!!!!

The Ego-Mind LOVES to protect you at all costs. Ego, for short, DOES NOT WANT you “to go there” to revisit the painful moment(s). So, if you feel resistance to go deep, know it’s just your friend Ego and know, even more, YOU BETTER JUST GO THERE!

Besides knowing all your wounds, Ego knows there are some un-serving beliefs, stories, perspective, and self-talk full of blame and shame that you are holding on to.

Ego is always in favor of expectations, judgments, perfectionism, comparisons, victimization, fears, complaining, and criticizing self and others, because these behaviors assist Ego in protecting YOU from getting to the root of the wound and feeling the pain.

Give it up real loud for The EGO!!!!!!

(Softer and loving announcer voice)

Now it is time to introduce The Higher Self ❤️

Higher self loves you so much and knows you best. Self, for short, WANTS you “to go there” to heal and to become whole again.

Self too knows all your wounds and WANTS you to learn from these experiences and attach a new loving story to them. A storyline that is all about love, empowerment, compassion, empathy, forgiveness.

Self is always in favor of life mottos like,

“Progress, not Perfection” — “You are doing the best you can.” — “You did the best you could in that moment.” — “Feel to Heal” — “You are never alone.” — “FROG – Fully rely on God.” — “You ARE ENOUGH!”

Self is always challenging you to go deeper and ask, “what am I being called to learn here about myself? What is the lesson? How can I learn, heal and grow?”

Please give a big virtual hug for The Higher Self!

(Announcer voice ended, back to deep talk)

Now that you know the voices in your mind when you “go there” to do the work, and feel into the pain, you will be more equipped to choose the voice and wisdom you want to listen to.

For me, I practice this  “Going There” work through journaling.  I let both players speak and have a voice.  Ego always starts first and it is the loudest voice in my head. I let Ego say whatever it wants.  No filter.  Then, I pause, take a deep breath and let Self have a voice.

I ultimately choose who I want to listen to. Most of the time, my Higher Self wins control over my mind and wounds these days. It may not be instantaneous. It can take days, weeks, months for me to hear both sides to the trigger and wound. But I tend to lean towards my Higher Self for the win. This takes a lot of practice.

The Work by Bryon Katie has helped me sort through my emotions when I first started. I highly suggest checking out her site if you are committed to doing this shapeshifting work. It is free!

Going there and doing The Work allows me to shift my mind into a state of peace, joy, love, etc.  I speak of this step without the emotions attached to it.  Just know, emotions are high and elevated when practicing this work.  And that is GOOD!  Deep Feels are Deep Heals!

Final Tips and Visual Messages

We are all being called to be a Shapeshifter.  This message has been consistent and loud and clear for me.  The light is bringing up all our shadows.  The time is now to do the work!   Let go of the untrue stories and wounds that are holding us back from living the life we are here to live. We are being called to “Go there. And Shift”

I shared the steps that I practice daily.  But I also bring into my shapeshifting work energies and my faith to co-create my wish.

I personally like to add a little fun and magic to shapeshifting my mind for healing. I am a visual person so I draw my visualizations. As you can see, I am a mutt of all different energies!

I bring in the eagle’s sharp eye for clear seeing and the higher perspective.
I call in the Lion for strength and courage “to go there”.
I become a wolf and call in my pack of wolves for support. These are my guides and loved ones in spirit.
I become a tree and ground my roots for stability and calmness.
I call to my Source and the Angels of Light. I surrender the heaviness to them.
I am always being the FROG, Fully Rely On God, and taking the leap of faith.

Dream Message: Be A Shapeshifter To Heal

Dream Message: Be A Shapeshifter To Heal

Hello there!  I am writing to share a dream message with you.  It was a wild and crazy dream, and it is a message for me AND for you.  Do you remember the dream message from my banana-themed cheesy post, Let Go of Expectations and Judgements – Shift My Sh#t? Well, this is NOTHING like that post.  Hahaha! This message is deep. Like real deep. Just forewarning you.

If you are feeling unsettled, unhappy, triggered or just “off” and want to feel like your self and like your life has meaning and purpose again, then this post is for you. I will share The Dream Message Cliff Notes, The Visual Dream Art, and The Dream Interpretations & Messages in this post. The next post, titled 4 Ways For Shapeshifting Your Mind To Heal , will explain some ways to practice shapeshifting!

If this message below resonates with you, marinate in it for a bit.  Read it again because the dream message has a lot of wisdom in it.  When you are ready and empowered to shift, get to work! You are so worth it 🙂

Thank you for being here!

Big Hugs To YOU!

Tara

The Dream Message “Cliff Notes” Style

  • I am a shapeshifter with my mind and my healing.
  • YOU are a shapeshifter with YOUR mind and YOUR healing.
  • Be the eagle to see a higher perspective with life’s experiences and perspectives.
  • Incorporate INTENTIONS, AWARENESS, WILL, and CHOICE, for shifting, healing, soaring, and FLYING HIGH in your life.
  • We are ALL called to do this shapeshifting work to heal and grow.

The Visual Dream Art

The Lucid Eagle Dream:

Shifted & Transformed

The “Shift” War Dream

Mind Shifting

Dream Interpretations and Messages:

Because of my two separate dreams, the interpretation will be separated and then I will bring it all together wrapped up in a nice healing gift!

The Lucid Eagle Dream Message

What does this wild dream mean?  I can tell you what it does not mean, for me at least.  I am NOT turning into an eagle.  I can tell you that right now, not happening.  While that would be totally awesome and total Sam from True Blood, this is not what we are called to literally do 🙂

The Message:

WE ALL CALLED TO BE SHAPESHIFTERS with our thoughts, stories, and beliefs.

Shapeshifting our mind is a FREEING act and the CHOICE to LET GO of our pains, stories, limiting beliefs, fears, anxiety, expectations, judgements, anger, resentment, shame, blame, perfection, insecurities that steals the joy from our life.  It is and has always been our FREE WILL and CHOICE to heal our wounds from our past and our CHOICE to love and live our best and most authentic life.  (read this again to absorb it)

This is NOT easy.  We are human, we have emotions, feelings, opinions, beliefs, and ego. BUT we are called to shapeshift, right now.

The “Shift” War Dream Message:

There is a war that is going on right now.  And the battleground is in our own minds.  Here are the “deets” of my dream and the interpretation and message.

  • Who is at war?
    • Ego and Higher Self.
  • What are they fighting over?
    • The control rights over letting go of past pains and healing past battle wounds.
  • Who Chooses the Victor?
    • We do. Individually.

Message:

We have TOTAL POWER with who wins the battle in our mind.  It all comes down to our CHOICE.  Do we want to stay with the ego and not heal our wounds and continue on with our “less than” story and suffer? Or do we side with our Higher Self and do the work to feel whole again?  We have free will and the choice is ours.

Combined Dream Message:

Message:

We have the power to create (co-create) the reality we want in our life.  Check in with our mind (mindset). Connect to the Ego and the Higher Self.  Listen to both sides. Ego is loud, Higher Self is soft and subtle.  See the wounds, stories, pains, beliefs from a higher perspective like the eagle and CHOOSE what YOU want in life.  When we do this practice, we have the opportunity to create (co-create) our reality.  Shapeshifting our mind and hearts!

Creating our reality is a FROG Effort. Bringing in one’s beliefs in a higher power is key.  Total team effort!

6 Steps For Healing While Sleeping

6 Steps For Healing While Sleeping

I am a BIG supporter of utilizing sleep and dreams for deep healing and growth.  As I mentioned in a prior blog post titled, The Healing Power Of Dreams,  I have built my dream muscle over the years to work for my highest good.

Focusing on my dreams and my intentional sleep practice has been life-changing for my healing.  For most of my life, I just went to sleep. I put on my jammies, got all snuggly in my bed, turned off the light, and slept.  I never fully realized that my 8 hours of sleeping can be an opportunity for healing, wisdom, messages, and assistance. Until now.

I am sharing my sleep and dream healing practice with the intent to educate or perhaps inspire others to try it out.  As always, do what feels right to you.

Step 1 – Gratitude

Before bed, reflect on your day.  Tap into your heart and truly review and feel into what you were grateful for that day.  Either say it in your head, write it in your notes on your phone, or write it in a journal.  There are no right or wrongs here.  Our thoughts are more powerful than we realize.

I will share with you my gratitude journal on 11-3-20.

Today I am grateful for my family. My whole entire family (extended). I am grateful they are well, healthy, and safe. I love them so much.

Today I am grateful for the message I received from my spiritual team and I am grateful for the nudge to share the message with others who are open to receiving it.

I am grateful for the push and messages to get my blog out. Get out of my head and just do it!

I am grateful for feeling uncomfortable because I know this is a sign that I am growing.

I am grateful for Ken’s love and support.

I am grateful for the laughter I hear from Sean’s room right now.

I am grateful for the mentors and teachers I have in my life.

I am grateful for the meditations I did today.

I am grateful for my friends.

I am grateful for my health. I was able to walk and exercise and that makes me so happy.

I am grateful for the time I had today to do all these things.

Thank you for this day. I am so grateful for experiencing life today.

Deep gratitude, right? I am a total deep person, haha.  My entries are not always like this, however. Some days I am just grateful for my breath and that is enough.  Reflecting and giving thanks for all the gifts you experienced each day is a life-changing tool to practice.  For me, it is an instant shift in mindset and my energy.

I believe this practice also sets the stage for the next step.

Step 2 Set Intentions for Sleep

What do you wish to receive that is for your highest good while you sleep?  Healing, guidance, messages, assistance, etc?  I ask my spiritual team for this request.  I can be very specific with my intentions or I can simply ask to receive whatever is for my highest good.

My personal belief is that my spiritual team (my spirit, my angels of light, my loved ones, my ancestors, my guides, my Source) are waiting to be of service to me.  I just need to ask them and truly be ready and open to receive.   Whatever your personal belief is, go with that.  Go with whatever feels right in your heart and whatever you feel comfortable with.  When I first started doing this work, my team was God. As I have grown spiritually, I have a whole posse!

Here is an example of my sleep intentions:

While I sleep, I humbly ask my spiritual team for continued emotional healing to occur.

I humbly ask to receive wisdom and guidance in areas of healing that I am ready to work on in my waking moments.

I am ready to heal.  I am ready to do the work.  I am ready to grow.

Thank you for this healing, messages, and awareness, that is for my highest good, while I sleep.

Again, it is pretty deep.  Some nights, I am just too tired and I simply ask to receive love while I sleep.  That is enough and totally ok. The point here is to simply set your intention.  Wishes are powerful!

Step 3 – Rise and Shine with Gratitude

Waking up with gratitude is very important. (Do you see a pattern with the gratitude thing?) Thank your Source, the Universe, God, angels of light (whatever your beliefs are) as soon as you wake up.  Thank them for another day, thank them for being alive, thank them for the dreams you remembered, whatever feels right.  Simply start your day with a healthy dose of thanks.

Step 4 – Sit and Write

Did you have any dreams?  As soon as you wake up and give your thanks, write out your dreams. Do the best you can.  Most likely, your dreams will be super weird, and head-scratching.  That is ok.  Just write whatever you can remember, even if it is just one word, a feeling, or a song that was playing. And if you cannot remember anything, that is ok, too!  Trust that if you are not remembering your dreams, then it was for a reason. There is nothing wrong with you or what you did. Having certain expectations with this practice will absolutely create distress. So, let go of expectations. Simply believe in your heart that you received healing.

Here is my messy, unedited recent dream that I journaled in my phone under notes:

Christmas jammies

Doug asked me what does the pocket say on my jammies?

I didn’t try them on yet and had no idea what it said.

Saw Ken’s cousin. I thought her name was Stacie. It wasn’t.  We were in the car. She asked for my number so I went in the glove compartment and got paper out. It was paper deep in the bottom. And my mom wrote on the back of the paper. I thought her number was one thing but she had a different number. I thought maybe Bc she lived up north.

I was with Ken at a house. Split level house. My mom was there. We were outside in the driveway on a date. Maybe in the car. And I ate tuna fish. After I ate it, I was shocked because it was meat.

In the driveway still. Something with the car and taking it to get it fixed or cleaned?  Another family was there too. I was shocked they were home so soon after they took it to get cleaned and fixed.

I went to get a mammogram. A guy did it.  Kelly D was there

Song playing in head nonstop – Madonna’s Ray of Light song

Step 5 – Interpret the Dream or Let it Sit

This is a personal choice in my opinion, and I encourage people to do what feels right to them.

If I remember my dreams, I do attempt to interpret my dreams that day because most times, there is usually a message in there for me.  HOWEVER, this is not always the case.  When I have no clue what the heck the dream means to me, I let it sit, with the intention to review it later. I have learned that my dreams will give me the messages I need at that moment.  Not what I want.  With this understanding, I have faith more messages are to come. So, the reminder to myself is TO BE PATIENT!

Let’s talk about the interpretation.  Dream interpretation is an intuitive muscle and EVERYONE can grow this muscle with intention and practice.  It is important to breathe, relax, and quiet the mind. Do your best to not “think” too much about the outcome of your interpretation, the fine details in the dream and/or not having a clue what the heck it means.  Trust whatever pops in your head and just write it.  When we trust that soft, subtle, quick, whisper in our head, THAT is our intuition. Just go with it.

In the past, I have googled the meaning of my dreams. Researching on the internet has helped me AND it has hurt me. I can easily go down that Google rabbit hole. When this happens, I have moved out of my heart-space and into my head-space and I am being unproductive. Dream interpretation is most definitely a practice that takes awareness and balance. In future posts, I will share ways that helped me build this intuitive muscle.

This is my interpretation of my dream:

I am having a hard time seeing clearly what the messages are.

I think I have the “number” on what is happening in life right now but I don’t. These are assumptions.

I will do things I never did bf.

The key is to continue to keep my “vessel” clean.

This whole thing that is happening in this world is to clean the mess.

Recording and interpreting a dream is NOT to be stressful. When I do this practice and I notice that I am beating myself up or stressed out for not remembering to set my intentions or to write in my dream or gratitude journal, that is my BIG sign to pause and reflect.  Perfectionism has no place in my healing practice.  BUT, it happens because I am human 🙂

I must shift to the mindset of “Just do the best I can. I am enough. Progress, not perfection.  JUST BREATHE.” is key for me. I learned about these statements in my recovery. While they seem very simply stated, they are powerful and life-changing when I practice this mindset and mindful shift.

Step 6 – Be Present and Live Life!

Now that you did all your sleep/dream-work, go be present and live life.  Make the present day count.  Set intentions for what you wish for in the day. If your dream had a message for you, keep it in your awareness for that day. Do what you feel called to do with the message. And don’t forget to smile, live, love, and shine!

Thank you for reading and being open to my healing practice! If my personal sleep/dream-work steps have been helpful to you, great! If it doesn’t resonate, that is totally fine, too.  We are all different and what resonates with one person may not resonate with another.  Follow your heart and do what feels right.

Please share your own practice or experiences in the comments.  I am always open to learning more! Questions are always welcome too!

Big Hugs!
